About Youran Ma
Youran Ma is a 15-year-old guzheng performer with over ten years of systematic training in traditional Chinese music, demonstrating remarkable artistic talent and dedication. The guzheng is a traditional Chinese zither with a history of more than 2,500 years.
Originally from Beijing, China, she has performed in numerous large-scale events and, since 2025, continues her artistic activities in Portugal while studying at an international school. Active on international and multicultural stages, her recent performances include the opening ceremony of the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Competition organised by the Macau Economic and Trade Organization, as well as the 25th anniversary celebration of the Lisbon Chinese School, attended by more than 500 people. Through her performances, she shares the art of the guzheng and actively promotes cultural exchange in an international context.
