Beatriz Horta Correia

About the Artist

Nature, landscape, voidness and the ephemeral are recurring themes in Beatriz Horta Correia’s oeuvre. Books, writing and the word are also fields that she explores both in terms of content and form as matter and object, structure and graphism. Since 1983, she has been working as a designer while developing visual arts projects and has been showing her work regularly since 1988.  

Correia’s work is represented in public and private collections. She received an Orient Foundation scholarship in 2019 and co-founded Plataforma P’LA ARTE in 2020, a project for which she volunteers to develop community activities in the arts.
