About the Artists

Inspired by the true origin of artisanal production, Diogo Ferreira and Isac Coimbra embrace the concept of slow design in tactile and expressive pieces. Having graduated in Design/Visual Culture and Architecture, respectively, the authors created the brand in 2020, turning the lockdown into creative emancipation and characterful pieces.  

At their home-studio in Lisbon’s Avenidas Novas, every piece is handmade, from the initial kneading to the final kilning, imparting them with a unique, particular personality.   

The pieces by GRAUº combine different tone (blacks, whites and terracotta) glazed and unglazed clays with jute and rope. This generates a sort of ‘new tribal’ with a geometric, modern and minimalist twist.
