Teresa Pavão

About the artist

Teresa Pavão is a Portuguese artist who has been showing her work at various prestigious institutions for the last forty years. She studied at António Arroio School and went on to specialize in ceramics at IADE (Lisbon). In 2004, Pavão created the shop-studio tp (author store) in Lisbon, featuring unique handmade author pieces in ceramic and fabric.  

She has recently shown at Museu Nacional do Azulejo and MUDE – Museu do Design e da Moda, in whose collections her work is represented. 

For the store at the Albuquerque Foundation, the artist conceived and produced the series of bowls, pitchers and pots Terra Branca [White earth] in gold-brushed enamel.
