Architecture Tour with Thiago Bernardes
A tour of the Albuquerque Foundation led by architect Thiago Bernardes, founder of the practice responsible for the project. Throughout the tour, the architect will share the ideas and decisions that guided the transformation of the former Quinta de São João do Linhó into a space dedicated to the collection, art and engagement with audiences.
Moving between the historic building, the gardens and the new exhibition spaces, the tour explores the dialogue between architecture, museology and landscape. The relationship with the topography, the choice of materials and the creation of routes that gradually reveal the site will provide starting points for discovering the project and discussing the relationships between the spaces and the experience of those who visit them.

About Thiago Bernardes
Thiago Bernardes, grandson of Sergio Bernardes and son of Claudio Bernardes, he has developed his own architectural language in dialogue with his family legacy. His work is characterised by a close attention to materials, technology and the relationship between architecture and landscape.
In 2012, he founded Bernardes Arquitetura, the practice responsible for the Albuquerque Foundation project. With offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Lisbon, the practice develops architectural, urban planning and interior design projects across a range of scales and programmes, including residential, hospitality and cultural spaces.
