Porcelain and Ceramics – Summer Workshop
Summer Workshop
During this summer holiday week, the Albuquerque Foundation offers children an artistic exploration experience centered on ceramics and the creation of individual works, where form, material, and thought come together.
Over the course of five days, the museum will become a space for experimentation and inquiry. Drawing on the exhibitions and the collection, as well as references to artists working with ceramics and other artistic languages, each participant will be invited to observe, analyze, and explore materials, techniques, and narratives, developing their own project.
Program
The program is structured in five stages:
- Observe and analyze: guided visits to the exhibitions and the collection, encouraging close observation and critical thinking;
- Research and experiment: exploration of different ceramic materials, modeling techniques, and textures;
- Create and develop: production of individual pieces, articulating form, color, and narrative;
- Compose and structure: organization of the project, considering coherence, rhythm, and the sequence of visual solutions;
- Present and share: a small exhibition to present to parents and family the creative process and each child’s discoveries.
