This guided tour explores Lingzhi, a symbol of Chinese culture, through its presence in different works from the Albuquerque Foundation collection.
More than a decorative element, Lingzhi offers a key to interpreting the works and understanding the stories, beliefs and values associated with it. By following the presence of this small mushroom throughout the collection, we discover how an element of nature can acquire different meanings through art.
The tour invites visitors to look more closely at the works, revealing how a small detail can uncover a network of meanings.
