Azulejo Painting
Creative tile painting workshop for kids and adults
This hands-on tile painting workshop is inspired by the rich history and traditions of azulejo.
Participants will be introduced to the origins and evolution of Portuguese tile-making, exploring the dialogue between Moorish, European, and other cross-cultural influences that have shaped this artistic practice over centuries.
Guided through the process of designing and painting their own tiles, participants are invited to experiment creatively while engaging with the cultural histories embedded in ceramics.

About Lola Ramos
Lola Ramos is a multimedia artist based in Lisbon, working across illustration, animation, ceramics, embroidery, and installation. Her practice combines visual storytelling with material experimentation, exploring the history of witchcraft and the symbolic dimensions of the female body.
Since 2016, her work has developed through site-specific interventions, public art, animation, and object-based practices. Drawing on archival research and vernacular traditions, Lola creates narrative-driven works that connect histories of women, ritual, and religious symbolism with a contemporary visual language.
